LESBIAN, GAY, BISEXUAL & TRANSGENDER RIGHTS IN AFRICA

What’s the most serious quandary for African leaders today? It’s how to implement African values and traditions in Africa while meddling with financial and military powerhouse allies in the West? It’s no secret, some Western morals conflict with African values. African leaders find that they have no say in what laws are being passed in the international community. Regardless of that, the West expects them to comply with any “NEW code of ethics” implemented even if it conflicts with traditional African customs.
Keep in mind, Africans are still asking what a black person’s life is worth to the West? African minerals are sold for far less than their fair shake when sold by Africans on the global market. African craft has always been stolen without any credit given to the place where it was taken from. At some point there comes the option to discriminate. Alas, the black mother’s tears has never brought her consolation; nor has her boisterous attitude. Fast forward to a time where “human rights” finally applies to everything, you’ll find that Trayvon Martin’s and Jordan Davis’s blood continue to reiterate how vulnerable Blacks are, in the West. In effect, since slavery, the West has continued to disregard the sanctity of African values. It is as if they don’t exist. This is devastating to Africa!

On the flip side, there could be good reasons why the world [mostly Western governments] is setting new international norms that trump most country’s values. Even the Pope has no power over this. He caved in to homosexuality so that the Roman Catholic Church would not fall. Do people regard God the same like before? Many country’s norms were developed from the same religious values which are being overturned today. As both race and sexual orientations are paired in resemblance, a black person’s fight for equality, strife for an end to discrimination in the West, has been likened to a homosexual’s yearning to come out of the closet, even if that sexuality was long considered a sin or taboo in established religions around the world. The law now trumps the scriptures.

It begs to question; why are we so bothered by other people’s race or sexuality? The west frowns on any creed that doesn’t comply with its views. Shouldn’t everyone be educated on each other’s ways to establish our differences? Should ones’ nature or values be dictated? We see that in all religious and cultural traditions, L.G. B. T. life was strictly forbidden. Now, it takes the World Bank or IMF to willfully trample over this cultural traditions? What is homophobe? Ask yourself why do you or I care? What is the reason why others should be forced to accept it or influenced to reject it?
When you have children are you supposed to teach them your traditions anymore? So that they may learn and carry on the family tradition? Focus being on family, why are we concerned with what rocks the other family’s boat? Why should I care to know who is gay and who isn’t? Because I have a religious value? We all sin everyday! We all sin everyday! Yet, again, if one was a homophobe why should they be punished for their difference? Is that not a kind of phobia in itself?

There was a time when you could simply ignore the lesbian, gay, bisexual or transgender subject. That was back when we lived in a heterosexual world. But those days are gone. Lesbian women get married now, the traditional bread winning father is often cast out of the home, even though there may be children there, gay men could hold hands, kiss and show romantic affection in public. Bisexual people also want to be taken seriously even if they raise their eyebrows in the best of both sexual worlds. The transgender wants to be accepted for who he or she has transformed their self to. More people have adopted to the world of gay sexuality. Heterosexuals are expected to forgo religious or cultural beliefs that make them uncomfortable with homosexuality. But this is problematic for cultures that are not Western oriented which then becomes a viable issue.
Many have blamed pedophile priests, adulterous Imams or Rabbis and secretly gay Christians for misleading their public. Married men have been caught hanging their wedding rings to rendezvous with a secret boyfriend. While Muslim and Jewish men have kept a quiet grip on Abraham’s doctrine, right and wrong is now determined not by spiritual leaders but by political individuals who proclaim liberty through global politics. For Africans, if the West chooses to restructure its society to a none religious one, that’s the West’s prerogative. But why impose that on Africa through politics?
Africans are pro heterosexuals. African tradition states that the male is head of clan while female is the nurturing mother who is catered to (chivalry). Africans measure a person’s worth by their moral character, their bloodline (tribal royalty) and their cooperation within the culture. In this culture, boys and girls are taught their traditional roles in society. Men marry women as wives and the family looks up to the father as their leader under God. This means people of the same sex cannot date openly or marry because the term marriage is viewed as a sacred religious rite which does not include homosexuality. This is not discrimination, it is culture at best.
5f
In Africa, if people who are gay, get hitched and live together, that will be a violation of the traditional culture in the tribal community. Just as the West expect straight people to accept homosexuality, Africa also expects the same from the gay community in the West. There are Temples, Churches, Mosques, Synagogues and historic places that should be referenced under strict doctrines where gays cannot go there if they continue to partake in homosexual activity.
Is this fair to gays? I don’t know. Who knows? Is this fair to straights? A man with a female’s soul is not who is hated, it’s the holiness of what or where he may defile. Africa has its own cultural norms that differ from that in the West. But in recent years, the West has used monetary or humanitarian aide or military might to force Western agendas in Africa. Some Africans have already been brainwashed through Western education, internet, media, Hollywood and music cultures. The truth remains that Africans are pro heterosexual.

Everyone admits, we suddenly find ourselves in a changing time. The question that people are not asking is, who or what is causing this sudden change? If we must do the right thing and never discriminate against race, creed, sexual orientation or gender, will a racist cop pull another black person over in a racist town ever again while citing bogus reasons? What about gay men, will they be ridiculed? Are we to assume that people should know where they belong if their kind is not favored? What’s the best solution to adjust to this change?
What do we do with change? The world is changing so how do we adjust to this change? The common law heterosexual couple vs, the married gay couple. We talk about discrimination but there is no fixed remedy for racism in the West. While waiting for a compelling narrative here comes this banquet of homosexual controversies not surrounding the life, wealth, health and protection of a long suffered black person and his/her property but rather, the right of LGBTs to get married in Africa publicly? If the political acceptance of moral behaviors trump religious and cultural norms then where is the influence coming from? Only few know the answer. We have to admit that swapping the traditional pillars of society is a huge step.

Yes, we are all going to hell. Still, one has to ask, is this so called change is another ploy to distract people from the big picture? Like black people at the inception of racism or gays at the inception of all homophobic outcries. Who stands to gain from gays and Blacks? Who stands to gain now that gays are no longer supposed to be discriminated against but Blacks still fair far from a life free from racism? One person’s past time become another person’s abominable act. The moment we decide to restrict one group we immediately deny others of their rights. We bind nature. We miss talents. To hold a sexuality an abominable act now stands in the way of progress and the fulfillment of prophecies. What a time!

Humans are bound to be different. This is simply the order of nature. The goal is not to focus on how to end our differences, rather it is the knowledge, education, thorough and ingenious reasons to cope. In itself, the strength that comes also builds to educate. One cannot implement all cultures correctly without coming to loggerheads with someone else’s creed. This is why I skipped the “stand your ground” case that sent another black boy to the morgue.
This year, in light of remembering the life and legacy of Nelson Mandela, I pondered on the state of Uganda and its unnecessary cry for attention. No one could kill that many people without having a smeared conscience. This African leader barked loud in his yard but the bark echoed at the World Bank and IMF. Now, he’s imperiled a $90 million deal. Should African presidents be more diplomatic in such a way how it would be better if he or she knew when to keep quiet and allow destiny to take its course?*
Educate, though we will. Everyone will know their right and never be judged outside of the court. The Ugandan president probably didn’t believe his ears the first time he was told to legalize LGBTs in his country. To him it had to be a prank. His culture, his tradition and the moral pillars of the society he was born and raised in condemns it. Just like it condemns racism. But his disdain for racism has not caused it to stop in the West. Yet his disdain for homosexuality has come with a price. As if it is not an culturally sensitive step being imposed by the West. This president is ordered to let his country’s tradition slip away. ‘Should I accept gay marriage for $90 million or keep my tradition and get nothing?’ He said ‘keep the tradition’ (not in those words).

THE WITCH IN YOUR CHURCH – PT. 1,2,3

witch_reading_bookThe fine line between Witchcraft and religion is quite a blurry one. Make no mistakes about this, religion can be Witchcraft. The problem with this is most people do not interpret witchcraft well enough to tell the difference. When it comes to spirituality, there has to be some form of spiritual ethics that defines good and evil. OK. First off, let’s get one thing clear. Witchcraft is a religion. It is an earth based religion which falls under the polytheistic form of worship. The next thing to understand about witches is that they come in two categories. White witchcraft which is primarily dedicated to positivity and black witchcraft which is primarily negative. In today’s world you cannot be surprised at anything!
Since we live in a predominantly monotheistic realm, due to the spread of Islam, Judaism and Christianity, we generally classify witches under the umbrella of evil. This means even positive witches are considered as evil doers while negative religions are assumed to be good. The universe is a general term for a spiritual realm where the makings of intent are formed. Therefore when someone prays for your downfall or an ill fate to befall you they are just as bad as the witch who casts an evil spell on you. Moreover, a witch who casts a spell for your well being is just as good as anyone who prays for your well being. In order to understand this confusing theory we must first define a witch and then define religion. We must also show the similarities between spells and prayers. Again, we should remember what specific prayers and spells are intended for.
tumblr_mr2yts7ak61swlgkjo1_500
God is defined as a monotheistic deity who forms a Holy Trinity of Father, Son and Holy Ghost. When witches cast spells they are addressed to one of many polytheistic Gods or spirits who specializes in what the spell is meant to accomplish. I wont get technical about the existence of God and Satan namely good and evil. Rather I will focus on good intent, bad intent and FREE WILL. Why? Because we know both angels and demons can perform good or evil deeds. However, the twist is when an angel does evil it is assumed that this was warranted to destroy evil while a demon’s good deed is seen as deceit. What I’m saying here is that in my research, not all witches are evil and not all Christians are good. Before I get to the next part of this blog I will upload a video to first establish that Christian witches exist.

The Rocket Car Libyan Rocket | The Safest Car Ever-Made :alot of western cynics where envious and jealous about ghadafi vision for a stronger african continent.

The Rocket Car

There’s only a handful of countries known for building cars. Most of them are in Europe or the Far East. Colonel Muammar Gaddafi wants to add what is called the Libyan Rocket, the car designed to solve the problem of high instance of road deaths in the north African country.

The “Libyan Rocket”, as the prototype is called, is described as an “elegant sedan” 17 feet long, more than six feet wide, with a 3-liter, V-6 gasoline engine, car seats five, has the nose and tail of a rocket. According to the BBC and Fox News, it also has airbags, an unspecified ‘electronic defense system’, and a collapsible bumper that supposedly help out in a crash. The car can go hundreds of miles on a flat tire. Other safety features include a device to cut off the fuel supply to avoid a fire in case of accident.

Launched at a conference called the Organization of African Unity and organized by Colonel Qaddafi, the Rocket is set to be be produced in Tripoli, Libya’s capital where a factory is set to be built next month, according to the BBC.

The interior is heavily loaded with local crafts as this area has tapestries libiennes (good taste guaranteed), and full-grain leather. A feasibility study is underway to assess the possibility of producing this interstellar monster on Libyan soil. Who wants one?

Libyan Revolution and The Rocket car designed by Al Gaddafi
"Libya is in the middle of North Africa, not on the periphery. Its location is like South Africa and more so.  If Libya wants to avoid the evil of enemies from outside, it will seek protection in Africa, not by analyzing the blood of Libyans and ascertaining their Arab origin... If Libya were to seek the possibilities of a fortune, it has to become a partner in the fortune of its African continent. Yes, it is rich, richer than any other continent in the world."
"Now, America is stepping all over the world with its shoes.  It is not afraid or ashamed and has no conscience.  It scares everyone, and they fire missiles while they are drunk, and it sets the price of bread in the world. It orders the World Bank and the IMF to set the price of bread in Jordan.  It tells them to raise it by 300 percent, and that happens..."

"All our currencies collapse because the US currency is strong. What is the reason for that?  Consider the unity of blood, race, and, even, religion; all these are lacking in America.  The reason [for US strength] is that they are people who have come from everywhere and they have established a state, which they have called America, exploited its resources, established a strong economy and communications, manufactured missiles and satellites, established medicine, made radars, ships, aircraft carriers, and nuclear, biological, and chemical weapons.  They have become a fearsome power. The reason is that all those people who came from everywhere created a single nationality and a single identity which they have called American; their identity is American.  The United States is the product of 50 states which have united.""If Africa is to become stronger than the United States and the EU, because it has the resources that would make it strong and make the African citizen strong economically without relying on western crumbs for development.

Zionist Logic -- Malcolm X on Zionism Malcolm X (Omowale Malcolm X Shabazz) Taken from The Egyptian Gazette -- Sept. 17, 1964

Malcolm X

The Zionist armies that now occupy Palestine claim their ancient Jewish prophets predicted that in the "last days of this world" their own God would raise them up a "messiah" who would lead them to their promised land, and they would set up their own "divine" government in this newly-gained land, this "divine" government would enable them to "rule all other nations with a rod of iron."If the Israeli Zionists believe their present occupation of Arab Palestine is the fulfillment of predictions made by their Jewish prophets, then they also religiously believe that Israel must fulfill its "divine" mission to rule all other nations with a rod of irons, which only means a different form of iron-like rule, more firmly entrenched even, than that of the former European Colonial Powers. These Israeli Zionists religiously believe their Jewish God has chosen them to replace the outdated European colonialism with a new form of colonialism, so well disguised that it will enable them to deceive the African masses into submitting willingly to their "divine" authority and guidance, without the African masses being aware that they are still colonized.

CAMOUFLAGE

The Israeli Zionists are convinced they have successfully camouflaged their new kind of colonialism. Their colonialism appears to be more "benevolent," more "philanthropic," a system with which they rule simply by getting their potential victims to accept their friendly offers of economic "aid," and other tempting gifts, that they dangle in front of the newly-independent African nations, whose economies are experiencing great difficulties. During the 19th century, when the masses here in Africa were largely illiterate it was easy for European imperialists to rule them with "force and fear," but in this present era of enlightenment the African masses are awakening, and it is impossible to hold them in check now with the antiquated methods of the 19th century.
The imperialists, therefore, have been compelled to devise new methods. Since they can no longer force or frighten the masses into submission, they must devise modern methods that will enable them to manouevre the African masses into willing submission.
The modern 20th century weapon of neo-imperialism is "dollarism." The Zionists have mastered the science of dollarism: the ability to come posing as a friend and benefactor, bearing gifts and all other forms of economic aid and offers of technical assistance. Thus, the power and influence of Zionist Israel in many of the newly "independent" African nations has fast-become even more unshakeable than that of the 18th century European colonialists... and this new kind of Zionist colonialism differs only in form and method, but never in motive or objective.

At the close of the 19th century when European imperialists wisely foresaw that the awakening masses of Africa would not submit to their old method of ruling through force and fears, these ever-scheming imperialists had to create a "new weapon," and to find a "new base" for that weapon.

DOLLARISM

The number one weapon of 20th century imperialism is zionist dollarism, and one of the main bases for this weapon is Zionist Israel. The ever-scheming European imperialists wisely placed Israel where she could geographically divide the Arab world, infiltrate and sow the seed of dissension among African leaders and also divide the Africans against the Asians.
Zionist Israel's occupation of Arab Palestine has forced the Arab world to waste billions of precious dollars on armaments, making it impossible for these newly independent Arab nations to concentrate on strengthening the economies of their countries and elevate the living standard of their people.
And the continued low standard of living in the Arab world has been skillfully used by the Zionist propagandists to make it appear to the Africans that the Arab leaders are not intellectually or technically qualified to lift the living standard of their people ... thus, indirectly "enducing" Africans to turn away from the Arabs and towards the Israelis for teachers and technical assistance.
"They cripple the bird's wing, and then condemn it for not flying as fast as they."
The imperialists always make themselves look good, but it is only because they are competing against economically crippled newly independent countries whose economies are actually crippled by the Zionist-capitalist conspiracy. They can't stand against fair competition, thus they dread Gamal Abdul Nasser's call for African-Arab Unity under Socialism.

MESSIAH?
If the "religious" claim of the Zionists is true that they were to be led to the promised land by their messiah, and Israel's present occupation of Arab Palestine is the fulfillment of that prophesy: where is their messiah whom their prophets said would get the credit for leading them there? It was Ralph Bunche who "negotiated" the Zionists into possession of Occupied Palestine! Is Ralph Bunche the messiah of Zionism? If Ralph Bunche is not their messiah, and their messsiah has not yet come, then what are they doing in Palestine ahead of their messiah?
Did the Zionists have the legal or moral right to invade Arab Palestine, uproot its Arab citizens from their homes and seize all Arab property for themselves just based on the "religious" claim that their forefathers lived there thousands of years ago? Only a thousand years ago the Moors lived in Spain. Would this give the Moors of today the legal and moral right to invade the Iberian Peninsula, drive out its Spanish citizens, and then set up a new Moroccan nation ... where Spain used to be, as the European zionists have done to our Arab brothers and sisters in Palestine?...
In short the Zionist argument to justify Israel's present occupation of Arab Palestine has no intelligent or legal basis in history ... not even in their own religion. Where is their Messiah?

African Wealth>>We Are Rich And Bless With Asorted Minerals,Still We Are Consider As The Most Devastating Poor Continent, Who ARE THE DEVILS BEHIND MOST INSTABILITY AND CONFLICTS IN AFRICA.

The great commodity riches of Africa are legendary. African oil, African diamonds, African gold, African uranium, platinum, chrome, gems such as emeralds, sapphires, rubies, as well as food stuffs such as cocoa, the ever useful cotton plant, edible oils and numerous other commodities, far too many to mention here.

Africa is responsible for given the world some of its most popular and useful foodstuffs. For example did you know that Africa was the home of the watermelon, of okra? Let us not forget delicious seafoods such as lobster, many varieties of fish and shrimp that are plentiful in the waters of Africa.

Did you know that African woods are among the finest in the world. Woods such as ebony and mahogany head the list.
Let us examine a few of these commodities. Take gold for example. Gold can be found in several African areas,Ghana, Zimbabwe... but the largest source of gold is Azania (aka South Africa).
One South African gold dealer boasts (Gold Eagle - South Africa Section) Since 1886 South Africa has been the Gold Producing Mecca of the world. ... Today, South African gold mines supply about 25% of the world's yearly supply...

An African emerald with diamond accent stones set in a platinum ring
Azania (South Africa) is also one the leading sources of diamonds. Everyone knows the importance of diamonds and of course we all know about the recent controversy of "conflict" diamonds, diamonds illegally traded by unscrupulous agencies working out of Europe, the US and Israel.
You have probably heard less about the fact that areas such as Zimbabwe, South Africa, Ghana, Madagascar, Malawi, Mozambique, Namibia, Nigeria are excellent sources of emeralds. (Here is it important to make a distinction between emeralds that are found in Africa and a gem stone called African Emeralds which is a green gem that is not an emerald.)
Did you know that areas such as Tanzania and Kenya are the source of rubies that are among the world's finest stones and in many instances sapphires also. But these riches have not enriched Africans. This essay on the theft of wealth from Tanzania is sufficient to serve the point:
When it came to the endowment of natural resources, nature was not stingy to Tanzania. We are told there is petroleum in Pemba, gold and other precious metals on the Mainland, including a gemstone that is unique to the country - tanzanite.

This is not to mention marine and forestry resources, arable land and water bodies. Tourist attractions are also phenomenal, including the highest peak in Africa, Kilimanjaro.
Historical sites, abundant and varied wildlife ... the list is endless. It is a surprise, therefore, that Tanzania is a virtual basket case in the global context, instead of being a breadbasket.
That, however, is gradually being unravelled through lurid, kaleidoscopic revelations by parties who have the interests of the country at heart. The problem is not lack of resources. It is a question of ineptness, mismanagement, sleaze - or a combination of all three.

Tantalum ore

Muddy trails extending for hundreds of miles into the subtropical wilderness of the Democratic Republic of the Congo end at shallow, exposed mines full of one of the most valuable mineral deposits on earth: tantalum ore. Crack open your cell phone and you’d find a refined version of it in the thumbnail-size part that helps power the device. In the DRC’s Katanga province, the bush trails also lead to an interesting experiment in coping with government regulation.
A tale of two supply chains (click to enlarge)

Getting minerals out of the country and into your phone has long involved an informal supply chain in which self-employed miners scraped the pits for minerals, then sold them to a network of traders who would take them to the border and sell them to foreign refiners—with warlords and militias extorting the players along the way. Congress wanted the U.S. to quit lining armed groups’ pockets; as part of the 2010 Dodd-Frank law, it mandated that companies certify to the Securities and Exchange Commission that their supply chains for products using tantalum, tin, tungsten, and gold are “DRC conflict free,” a standard the SEC has yet to define.

It has been demonstrated consistently that African strategic metals such as the platinum group are absolutely vital to modern state power. The Outline Thesis statement of the US Marine study U.S. Reliance On Africa For Strategic Minerals, reads as follows:
Since World War II the United States has become increasingly dependent on imported strategic minerals. A major source for many of these minerals is Africa, a volatile region in which the possibility of a major disruption of U.S. mineral supplies is distinctly possible.

U.S. Reliance On Africa For Strategic MineralsThe world's appetite for minerals is rapidly growing.

Copper is sought after for use in power transmission and generation, building wiring, telecommunications, and electrical and electronic products. Cobalt is used in super-alloys to make parts for gas turbine aircraft engines and demand is continuing to soar as it is used for rechargeable batteries in globally popular mobile phones and devices.
It is also used to make magnets, tire adhesives and catalysts for the petroleum and chemical industries.
The price of copper has quadrupled since 2001, standing at 7,603 dollars per tonne in May this year.
World production of copper is expected to increase by six percent and total use by five percent in 2006, with the areas on the border between DRC and Zambia playing a major role.
The so-called copperbelt running through Katanga and Zambia contains 34 percent of the world's cobalt and 10 percent of the world's copper. Since 2004, there has been a massive influx of foreign companies pouring into Katanga on the DRC-Zambia border.
The study says operations have been marred by price fixing in contract negotiations in the capital Kinshasa, where politicians have quickly approved several large contracts with multinational companies, leaving only a small share for the state mining company, Gécamines.
The Kamoto copper mine, the Dima-Kamoto Concentrator and the Luilu hydro-metallurgical plant are one example, with Kinross-Forrest inking a deal with Gécamines that gave the former a 75 percent share and Gécamines 25 percent. The main shareholders of Kinross-Forrest are George Forrest International in Britain and the Canadian company, Kinross Gold Corporation. International companies have been returning to the country prompted by high copper and cobalt prices...
Those companies and banks include the Canadian mining firm First Quantum Minerals Ltd, the Rand Merchant Bank in Johannesburg, and Adastra, a Canadian company with its head office in Britain.
The report also examines the ties between international mining firms and global public lenders such as the World Bank. It says the World Bank is involved in copper and cobalt mining in DRC and in promoting foreign investment despite classifying the country in one of its publications as the worst country in the world in which to do business.
The International Finance Corporation (IFC), the World Bank's private investment arm, has provided financing for a feasibility study carried out by Adastra, which is hoping to establish a copper and cobalt project in Kolwezi.
The IFC now has a 7.5 percent stake in Adastra's project that was taken over by First Quantum, another Canadian mining company.
The report called on private companies to help reform the sector and declare all mineral exports, pay the appropriate taxes and ensure that the working conditions of the estimated 150,000 miners who supply them meet minimum health and safety standards -- or refuse to buy products originating from those mines.
The average miner in Katanga earns about two or three dollars a day. Most work without protective clothing, equipment or training, and scores die every year in preventable accidents, the report says.
"We know that the Congo is rich. But despite this, we don't even have enough to eat. Only one category of people profits," one miner told Global Witness.

Jewell Explains Her Book's Claims About Tupac's Death And Dr. Dre's Sexuality

Exclusive: The former first lady of Death Row Records addresses the jaw-dropping claims made in her forthcoming memoir regarding Dr. Dre, Tupac Shakur and others.
Jewell, Former First Lady Of Death Row Records Resurfaces On Best Hand Entertainment With A Book And An Album
\
You had to be one hell of an interviewee to stand out amongst your co-stars in drug dealer-turned-Death Row Records financier Harry-O’s surprisingly well-done documentary, Welcome to Death Row. But one former Death Row inmate managed to do just that, as singer Jewell Caples arguably stole the show with her fearlessly honest (and at times cleverly humorous) observations about the rise and fall of one of the most successful, and perpetually controversial, record labels in music history.   Jewell Explains Her Book's Claims About Tupac's Death And Dr. Dre's Sexuality

A little over a decade after her film debut, the well-preserved 49-year-old mother, author and performer (who began her career in the mid-1980s as part of a performance troupe for the nation’s original Hip Hop radio station, Los Angeles’ KDAY) spoke to HipHopDX on Labor Day 2011 (courtesy of Hoopla Media Group) with shockingly even more eye-popping candor than her on-camera confessional.

As she prepares for the October 25th release of her memoir, My Blood, My Sweat and My Tears, and its accompanying album (which will precede the release of her long-vaulted Death Row debut by WIDEawake Entertainment), the hookstress heard on 2Pac’s “Thug Passion,” Dr. Dre’s “Dre Day,” Snoop Dogg’s “Gin & Juice” and several other timeless tracks from the G-Funk’d 1990s discussed with DX the “intimate secrets” in her book, including the premonition that might have saved ‘Pac’s life, and maybe most notably, the seemingly never-ceasing rumors regarding Dr. Dre’s sexual preference.

HipHopDX: We could start off by talking about “Woman To Woman,” or “Harvest For The World,” but I wanna talk about the true apex of your career, “Smoke Enough Bud.” [Laughs]
Jewell: [Laughs]

Jewell Explains The Breakdown Of Death Row Records

DX: Is it still frustrating to think how big that song could’ve been if it had been released?
Jewell: No. The thing is, I was very angry and bitter at the way things had happened, as far as Suge [Knight] treating the artists on the label [badly] and how they did business. …

A couple of people – [Dr.] Dre, Snoop [Dogg] and Tha Dogg Pound – they were able to still do some things [post-Death Row Records]. [But] then some of us just kinda … lingered. I, on the other hand, was introduced to people as Suge’s sister back in the day. So a lot of people thought we were really related, like blood-related. So when Death Row [Records] broke up, and Suge went to jail, it was very difficult for me to work with people and secure a deal for myself because they didn’t wanna deal with him.
DX: I interviewed Danny Boy last year, and in addition to a lot of eye-grabbing topics of discussion during that interview, we talked a bit about the impressive lineup of R&B artists some folks forget were housed on Death Row, including yourself. So did Suge just not see you, Danny and Nate [Dogg] as being as important as the rappers on the label? Is that why you guys didn’t get to release your solo projects?
Jewell: No, I don’t think it had anything to do with that at all. It had nothing to do with the talent, it’s just … he mixed the streets with business, and that doesn’t work.
DX: I’m just a little puzzled as to why he wouldn’t wanna capitalize on – like, especially you and Danny Boy after the Murder Was the Case soundtrack, why he wouldn’t wanna hurry up and put [solo] albums out?
Jewell: Well, the hardest thing was, if you have a label where almost every artist that you signed has the potential to be just as great as the ones that put out an album before [them, what do you do?] So, that’s difficult [in deciding what to prioritize]. … I was supposed to be next [after Tha Dogg Pound's Dogg Food], but when you’re on a roll, and things are happening, then you kind of – if you’re not ready for it, it’ll take you by surprise and you can’t do two things at once. Now me, I multitask … but unfortunately, I guess Mr. Knight couldn’t. So he just dropped in one artist in one category at a time. And that to me [was] frustrating, because we should have been a full operative label that released Rap records, R&B … but everything was like one at a time. And you had to wait for this, and wait for that …. But we were all so talented, it’s just he wasn’t ready for it. I don’t even think in the beginning we were ready for it.
DX: In the commercial for your upcoming book, why does a song with the lyrics “I was sleeping with the enemy” play when Suge Knight is shown?
Jewell: [Laughs] That’s something that when the people edited it … that’s how they did it. When we gave them the video clips and the songs we didn’t give ‘em in any specific order or anything like that. So when they edited everything and put it together, that’s how it was on the commercial. And I loved it. I was like, “This is hot!” [Laughs] My concept was he’s angry that I’m finally getting my just due, and it’s killing him so much that he’s smoking, he’s on fire, he’s hot, oh, he’s burning himself up! [Laughs] So that’s how I looked at it; I loved it.
DX: You know we gotta address the “intimate secrets” in your book you brought up during that video. Without giving away the book for free here, I just want you to say what you can in response to these questions you posed in the video, beginning with “Who really killed Tupac?”
Jewell: Oh, they gotta read it. [Laughs]
DX: [Laughs] Yeah, I know that. But try to dance around a little bit, just kind of explain like what you’re saying, why you brought it up …
Jewell: Okay, the title of the book is My Blood, My Sweat and My Tears. We did a soundtrack that’s gonna be released at the same time as the book. And the songs will coincide with the book. It’s not a solo project on Jewell; I have some artists that I been working with from the D, from the city of Detroit. … Bobby Sealz, Picasso. … You get the book, you get the CD, they go hand-in-hand and you’ll understand what’s going on. I can’t really get on the dance floor with you when it comes to that, because once you open it up and I talk to you about one thing it’s gonna lead to something else, so … I plead the fifth. Jewell Explains Her Dream About Tupac's Murder

DX: [Laughs] Well, I do have to ask … you weren’t in [Las] Vegas when [Tupac] was shot were you?
Jewell: No, but there were – I had a dream. I was actually recording in the studio, but I was supposed to go [to Las Vegas]. And, Tupac and Suge called me at the studio. That night it was me, [producer] Demetrius Shipp, Hammer was there … I wanna say Eric B  was there. And Nate Dogg had came by to pick up his [unreleased] album, ‘cause it was being mixed and mastered, and I guess he wanted to listen to the songs before he was going to Vegas or on the way to Vegas. But, I was supposed to be there. And, it’s funny ‘cause Suge’s cousin, Rochelle, she was my road dog. His family was sorta more like my family. We all hung together. I played dominoes with his daddy. And [at] the holidays, I spent [time] with his family. So, it was funny ‘cause she and I, we both had different dreams in regards to [Tupac] being killed. It was kind of a scary thing, because [Tupac] called, and he was supposed to do a song that I had called “Money, Sex and Weed.” So [the concept] was [having those] three wishes …. And he was supposed to come and do the song before he went to Vegas. But, they was doing some other things and they were just calling me to let me know after Vegas they were gonna – Suge said he’s gonna come to the studio and do it. So, he put ‘Pac on the phone and ‘Pac was like, “Jeweeeeeell.” I was like, “What's up.” He was like, “I got you baby girl, don’t worry. I’ma be there.” And I’m like, “Okay, so you’re on your way?” And he was like, “Uh … no. We’re gonna go to Vegas first.”
And so, I began to talk about my dream. And I begged him not to go. I begged him. I was in tears. It’s funny because, I guess for a long time Suge might’ve thought that I set them up. Because, what happened in my dream was very close to what happened in the incident. And, I began to tell ‘Pac, “If you do it, you’re not coming back. If you go to Vegas, you’re not coming back. Please don’t go.” So, he like, “Aw, Suge, Jewell trippin’.” So he put the phone down, and he put Suge on the phone and I was like, “Look, please don’t go to Vegas. You guys are not gonna make it back.” And he was like, “Jewell, I ain’t afraid of no bustas. What’cha talkin’ ‘bout?” I was like, “If you go to Vegas, why don’t you just watch the [Mike Tyson vs. Bruce Seldon] fight at the house – get some girls, some bitches, some drinks – [but] just don’t go out in public.” So, they thought that I was trippin’ ‘cause I was literally in tears. And I got so overwhelmed that [Demetrius] had to get the phone, and he was talking to Suge. He was like, “She just woke up out of a nap and she’s hysterical.” So I can’t say everything, everything that happened, but it was very scary that warning does come before destruction. And I can’t say that Tupac wouldn’t be dead today, but I can say at that particular time if they would of listened to me he would of still been alive.
